Field Trips & Group Learning

Where Nature Becomes the Classroom

Looking for a hands-on, engaging way to teach science, ecology, nutrition, or sustainable living? Our educational tours offer students, homeschool families, and learning groups a chance to explore South Florida’s unique edible landscape—guided by local expert Jen Reelitz, founder of Food Forest DIY and author of Food Forest Revolution.

We offer two unique learning experiences: Food Forest Walking Tours, and Foraging Walks.

Food Forest Walking Tour in Jupiter Farms, FL

  • Over 88 tropical fruit trees and hundreds of perennial vegetables
  • Edible and medicinal plant identification
  • Regenerative gardening and sustainable food systems
  • Tasting opportunities for select crops (when available)

This informal walking tour is perfect for introducing students to the world of permaculture and food forests through real-life observation and sensory learning.
